 Villa Camozzi - officially entitled the Clinical Research Center for Rare Diseases "Aldo e Cele Daccò" - is located in Ranica, near Bergamo (Italy). It was established in 1992, when the Mario Negri Institute for Pharmacological Research decided to expand its activities to include clinical research within its own facilities. The Centre was born to promote independent clinical research and to provide information for patients with orphan diseases.
  
 Clinical research activities in Villa Camozzi started since its opening in 1992. It is a unique institution offering all the possibilities for design, preparation, conduction and evaluation of clinical trials. The main research areas of the Centre include chronic renal diseases, diabetes, rare diseases and transplant recipients.
  
 There is a continuous growing of clinical research activities in Villa Camozzi with a consequent advancement in the field of data management aimed at ensuring high quality of clinical data. This site is a show-case for the  trials conducted in Villa Camozzi and a platform for the incoming electronic trials.
